OBD1 alternator to OBD2 engine loom

OBD1 alternator to OBD2 engine loom
I have searched but came up with nothing (i must suck at search)
To put a OBD alternator on a OBD2 engine loom what wires do i join? colour for colour? and leave the extra wire on the OBD2 out?
