I'm changing my OBD0 B18a1 to OBD1 and need to know if I need the thermostat housing from a 94+ Integra. My thermostat housing has no sensor on it because I believe it's on the back of the block. I'll be hooking up the motor with a OBD1 engine harness so I'm a bit lost in how it's going to work. Sorry if that's confusing, any help would be appreciated.

 

you can extend that plug on the harness to the back of your block, it should work.
Or get another thermostat housing cover - whatever is easier for you.

 

I looked at the thermostat housing from a 95 Integra with a B18b1 and it did not have a sensor either on it. My D16z6 has the sensor on the housing but is not interchangeable with my B. Do you know which vehicle I can pull the housing/sensor off? Car will be OBD1.

 

nah, don't remember. as far as i remember thogh that sensor is not exavtly a sensor but a thermo switch for fan ot come on when coolant reaches particular temperature.
