Icon3 DPFi to MPFi EG4 - Some questions, lots of pics and one vid now helpp

I thought that all egs (or honda past 92) was obd1, but my eg, d15b2 lsi engine, DPFI, has obd0 plugs at ECU, that green one and the two blacks...
Just like this:
http://www.marklamond.co.uk/tech-hon...-connector.jpg

I was planning on swapping a d15b sol manifold i have here to make it mpfi, and i also have a obd1 p08 ecu from the same d15b sol, and whats my surprise when i found out it is obd0

What are my chances? Whats the best way of going to fit the manifold there? Can i still use the obd1 manifold (cuz i have it complete with TB, injectors, raill etc) with the obd0 arness and ecu just by adding and switching some wiring?

That was more of a north american thing. European stuff is a little different, they had carburated EGs in some cases.

lol damn

so im cutting my ecu connectors and jumping some obd1 connectors, will i be ok using a p08 from a d15b `?

Will the car start if i just follow the schemes on the forum to make the obd0 to obd1 plugs and connect it to a obd1 ecu? no obd1 dizzy needed to start?

Cheers

You need to run an OBD1 Distributor for it to start, electronics are different (unlike OBD1 and OBD2 B and D-series distributors that are electronically the same) You will also need to run either saturated injectors (read OBD1/OBD2) or install a resistor box if there isn't one already. You could also run a manifold and ECU off an MPFI OBD0 engine and save yourself a lot of work.

If i use obd0 stuff i will need resistor box but wouldnt need distributor, but as i have a complete mpfi obd1 intake mani with all anciliaries and a p08 obd1 ecu, im not going to burn more money in other ecu/mani, and i prefer passing to obd1 as im planning a b swap in the next months, this is just something to get better performance till then.

So i have the obd1 plugs wich im going to hotwire to my ecu plug cables, then i connect the obd1 p08 and install the obd1 distributor with the jumper harness cuz the plugs wont fit, and it starts right?

Just to check.
Cheers and thanks alot for all the help

You've basically got it figured out. The P08 will run a D15B non vtec, but the fuel and timing maps will be off and there will be a CEL for vtec. Find a P06 or whatever the EDM equivelent is if you can.

ialready payed for the p08 so :l screw the cel, it will have no prob right?

Man already got the 0bd1 wired up and the mpfi mani wired and assembled etc!

But when i turn the key the starter turns and it doesnt start up, it like makes explosions spaced by one or two seconds but doesnt start... it started once but very weird idle and died lol ... i havent got the obd1 dizzy so probably its that? My dizzy has obd1 plugs but the car was obd0 so i thought this dizzy would do...

not as bad as it looks eheh

its all wired up except for the o2 sensor wires and vtec wires that im not using, but ithink i have to cut the cilinder position wires and get them to the engine bay likethe 2 new injectors wires did, cuz my distributor must not have the cps in it

my dizzy has gray plugs just like obd1 does, but there are only 5 wires coming to it, and theres another plug, a two wire one, just like in obd1...and its the same shape as the obd1 one....but still the big plug is different than the obd1 one... that must be my problem

Here some pics to see if it clears your mind, and if youcan give me some help in here quoting myself from another topic:

Still have these wires to run to engine compartment, 3 to the 02 sensor, and one i dont know what it is, probably vtec? its the orange with blue stripe lol

My dizzy plug:

The other 2 wire dizzy plug

Anyone knows what these ones plug to? They-re both 2 pin plugs

I have this in the back of my intake mani, theres something missing there, any guess? Is it needed?

Hope you guys can help me, im a bit stuck, gotta get a dizzy, of that im shure, cuz this one only has 5 wires in the main plug as obd1 ones have 7 right?

Have a video of the cars reaction, ill post later to see if you guys can see whats happening.
Cheers and thanks alot

Whats missing on the back of your manifold (which is actually a pic of the throttle body) is where a TPS should be installed.

As for the other 2 plugs , who knows? 1 might be for a sensor/switch thats usually found on the power steering hose??

Youre right omg sorry.

One of the plugs in unused, it was only used in dpfi...the missing part is the tps, how couldnt i see that piece of metal moved when the trotle plate rotated lol sorry for doubting man.

So the MAP is the thing on top right? I swaped its wires thinking it was the tps omg im so dumb...
