Default OBD 1 Question

My friend has a 2001 Type R and recently purchased an OBD I ecu. He cannot start the car with the OBD I. He said that the immobilizer needed to be bypassed. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks for the help.

Ay i know that their is a immobilizer on the 2001 ITR ecu...I never knew or heard of a immobilizer on the engine...Hmmm...i know you can send the ecu to the shop to get the immobilizer disabled(cost @150)....hahha how are you supposed to send in your car to get the immobilizer disabled.
