harness question?

the skunk obd2 to obd1 harness... is there something special about this, or can the same thing be achieved by simply rewiring the clips that plug in to the ecu??

1. OBD IIb (left 3 plugs used)
2. OBD II ECU
3. OBD I ECU
4. OBD 0 (JDM PR3 and PWO)

talk to kenji on here, he makes harness's
