Default o2 sensor location

I have a b18A swap in my crx with many boltons and internal mods. My question is, with the DC Sports header on, my o2 sensor gets moved from being close to the head to back underneath the motor towards the end of the header. with the 02 being a single wire unit, will it still get hot enough to give accurate readings or can I swap it for a universal 4 wire that will self heat? The reason I am asking is because I recently added a second o2 for an air/fuel meter and it is always running rich. I also foul o2's about every 2 months. Any suggestions?

The heated O2 sensor will need a controller for the heater. On the OBD1 and OBD2 cars, it's controlled by the ecu. Wideband O2 sensor heaters are controlled by the wideband controller, of course.

Doesn't the heater work off12 volt wire? Why couldn't it be put on a switched wire and the ecu on the data wire? Please help. Do I need to have an o2 welded closer to the head to get the right reading back.
