4-wire Heated o2 sensor wire up
i have a JDM 4-1 header on my obd0 b16, this engine normally runs 2 non heated type sensors in the upper part of the factroy manifold. i am curently running the mugen progrma offered by JDMhondaparts.com , so with this program it alows me to run 1 o2 sensor meaning i dont have to hack up my beautiful JDM 4-1....
my question is... no that the o2 sensor is in the back of the header as opposed ot the front, dont i need ot switch over to heated 4- wire o2 sensor... if so how cna i wire this up ?
i know signal goes to c16, but as far as the 3 other wires.. is it just 2 grounds and a switched 12v for power to the heater ?

Yes, you've got the wires right.
Location, ie front or back, doesn't matter so much as distance from the head. If the O2 is too far away from the head it'll take forever to warm up without the heater on, but if it's too close and you wire up the heater so it's constantly on when the car's running (ie put it to switched power) you might fry the o2 by running it too hot. The stock ECU on 4-wire O2 sensors toggles the O2 on and off, AFAIK. I don't think it just leaves it on. That's why it's run through the harness and pins into the ECU, and not just connects to switched power. Again, AFAIK - I might be wrong

hmm, so how on earth would i wire this up to work in conjuntion with the ecu to make it fluctuate on and off. its not like i have a pin on my ecu that does this function ( seeing that it is obd0). also my mugen ecu isnt even throwing a o2 code and its not even plugged in,let alone wirred properly. do you think i would be better off just running a 1 wire in the back of the header ( far away from the head)
is there any other sensor that cuts in and out like the o2 ? if so i can wire it through that

I don't think there is on an OBD0 car. What you can do, however, is wire the power through a switch and toggle it off manually when the car's warmed up. So just use it to get the O2 up to temp quickly.
Personally I think it's a great opportunity to upgrade to OBDI, but that's just me
