Default Which O2 sensor do I need??

I have a 96 DelSol with Type R engine and running on Hondata P28 OBD I ecu.

So which model of O2 sensor do I need? One for the Type R engine or the one for SOHC Civic that run the P28 ECU? Or are they all the same?

I still have the stock B16A DelSol harness. So I am not sure if I can get the 92-95 SOHC Civic, or do I need DOHC B series O2 sensor.

pick up a bosch sensor from advance, checker, etc. if it breaks or fails, just take it back and get a new one.

I found out that the OEM one for Type R is like $100 more expensive than the OEM one for 96 SOHC civic. But the universal one for both Type R and SOHC civic are the same price and same part number. So what is the deal here?

the universals are the same price, cause they are UNIVERSAL... meaning they will work with any honda engine, and they will fall apart faster too... get a bosch OEM replacement. They will work alot better and less prone to faliure

I found that the universal one is around $100 cheaper than the Bosch one. Is the Bosch O2 sensor worth the extra $?

depends on if you want to keep replacing the universal ones every couple months, or if you would rather have one that will last you a long time.

I just hear from other people that the universal O2s are just really crappy... I wasn't going to take any chances with my engine, so I went with the bosch OEM O2 and haven't had any issues with it.

Good luck with your decision. Just remember, the OEM is more expensive for a reason... it works properly. I can't say that about anything universal.
