Default Injector wiring question

hey guys, i just got new injector clips to do a obd2 to obd1 conversion. trouble is that all the wires coming out of the clips are black. does it matter to which wire I connect the common 12V and the ground. I am not familiar enough with fuel injectors to know if polarity affects their functionality.

You want to hook the wires up correctly. Use a service manual from an obd-1 and obd-2 ver. of your car. Polarity should not be reversed.

If I remember correctly the Yellow w/ black or black w/ yellow (or whatever the color is that is the same across all four injectors) is the common power. The other wires (all four are different color patterns) are the grounds that lead to the ECU.

Hmm, and I would've thought the exactly opposite. Weird.

The common colored wires on the injectors go to the power junction box on the driver's side shock tower. The rest are the ground wires controlled by the ECU.
