From what little information you have brought to the table my first guess is your clutch just got fried. Stock? Lot of boosting?

not alot of boosting at all, only been on the car for 1200 miles, rarly reved past 6500, but when i go to get on it, it just feels like the rpms go faster then the speed goes... also, sometimes its hard to get into first gear... i have to put it into third first...

1) Check the amount of clutch fluid in the resevoir.

2) Check for leaks

It sounds like a slipping clutch... is it a stock unit ? If you keep the pedal down, will it eventually get 'fast' ?

I'd test the clutch for wear. This is what I was taught and it makes sense too. Put the tranny in 5th (high gear) gear and rev the engine up to about 4000 rpm or so and drop the clutch. If the clutch is still good, your engine should stall. If the clutch is slipping, the engine will decel slowly before stalling. Good luck..
