Hey guys.. help me identify the reason why my car wont start.
Heres the situation: I'm on my way home from school, start my car, it starts up, but sounds like its struggeling a little, so i drive home. Just got home, parked, tried to start my car up, doesnt start. At first trying to start, but just cant do it. next turn of the key it just clicks and the engine doesnt make any noise.

I noticed that my clock got reset to 1:00, all my presets gone (grrr). Lights work fine, stereo works fine when key turned part of way.

 

sounds like u need a new battery

 

yeah sounds like an old battery on its way out. Check for battery terminal deposits, it you have em, use baking soda in water or some coca cola to dissolve the deposits (i think it's zinc).

 

yeah.. thats what my dad just said. he wanted to finish his nap before looking at it.. but i couldnt wait so i posted here.. Just took battery out, going to go get one soon and try it out

 

alright.. got new battery in.. car works fine.. thanks. Ill be slower to post next time some little thing goes wrong

 

Hmm.. Did you ever stop to think it there was a charging problem also??.. Just thought I'd throw that in..
