With the nocksensor code 23 on, will it completly make my car untunable?
engine Lsvtec no knocksensor
I have not chipped ecu but want to drive car with out having problems.
ideas.
when we tune car gears linedup, TDC , it will all be straight but when we drive it runs like crap and at ideal with timming light it will still read good at the crank but the gears will be off. Is this because of the code.
(refraising) every thing lined up perfect while car is off, when running camgears pull away from each other and it looks like the intake cam is the one moving a few teeth or less, ideas?
thanks Justin

you set the tension correctly? Because there isn't really any other reason for the belt to jump teeth, if that's what you are saying it's doing..
but no, it won't be tunable with the knock sensor code. A missing knock sensor will put the car in limp home mode.

not having a knock sensor will only throw a code, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference while driving. About puting it in limp mode, i disagree. I ran my b16 without a knock sensor for a while and everything was the same now with a knock sensor
