No Spark
I have had a d15b vtec swap for about two months, with minur problems but fixed them. Yesterday at the light, my car was running, but when the light changed it died on me when I tried to leave. I could not get it started again, called someone for a jump, it would turn over but not catch. I had it towed home, tried to remedy the starter but it is fine (tried the hammer it, and also the roll jump method). Thought it was the ignitor, because my installer told me that what was the problem with the swap from the beginning, and he didn't know the condition or the ignitor that he put in there. So, to make a long story short, changed main relay, ignitor, fuel filter, rotor, cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires, to no avail. I am getting no spark, can hear the fuel pump kick in, can smell fuel in the cylinder where I took of the spark plug to see if I have spark. I am getting voltage on the black/yellow wire in the dizzy. but no pulse from the blue tach wire.

d15b vtec
dpfi->mpfi (of course)
switched to odb1 via blown90hatch harness
P08 ecu
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly bad coil, you say you have no pulse on tach lead. The next step is to check pulse at negative terminal of coil. If no pulse, check for pulse at ignitor from ECU signal, I'm pretty sure this wire is YEL/GRN at ignitor. If no pulse, may possible have blown ECU fuse in underhood fuse box. Have seen this numerous times before.
Hope this gets you started in right direction!

no pulse from the coil or ecu signal, but, the ecu fuse under the hood is not blown. even switched it out with another 15amp fuse to be sure and still no pulse.
Check for continuity between the ECU and ignitor. If that's good, you may have an ECU problem. What ECU are you running, and do you have access to a spare you could change out?
check your timing belt, if the teeth are broken it wont start, i had the same thing happen to my car, the timing belt was the problem ...everyone told me to change my dizzy and other things and i just figured that it was my timing belt

I've checked the continuity between the harnesses but not all the way to the ignitor. I am running a p08 ecu, I'm trying to hurry up and get a hold of a p28 and an 4-wire o2 sensor, so the p28 won't thorw any codes on me when I switch them out to figure out that problem. The timing belt is new, well two months new, after the swap.
Project99EK had a good point. An easy way to tell is remove the distributor cab and see if the rotor turns when you crank the motor. Do you have any error codes stored in the current ECU?
yes the rotor turns when I crank the motor, but no error codes, the cel light comes on when I turn the ignition to "on" for two seconds, I heard the main relay click and the fuel pump prime, then the light turns off.
Check your alternator fuse under the dash. Mine blew at the track once and caused my 91 Si hatch not to start. I almost missed eleminations because of it. Just throwing out another suggestion.
If you have aftermarket wires and they are not getting a good connection with the spark plug and the distributor that could cause premature coil failure... I had that problem with a B16 I dropped in a EG it was pulling to much current and blew fuses too.
