Default no movement!?

Hey guys, I have a freind who just swapped a jdm h22 into his 91 accord. The motor is a 92-95 h22. He is currently using the original sohc tranny that came with the car. By the way it is a automatic. Anyways, it "the tranny" was running fine before the swap, but after the swap he has not been able to move the car. The tranny fluid was drained and replaced. Our local honda repair shop says that he needs to replace the tranny with a jdm one, and to buy one and have it put in would run 1600. Im assuming he should be able to use the original tranny that came in his car. The motor runs just fine, no issues there.

If you guys have ever had this issue or know a solution. please help us out. I dont know dittilly **** about accords, or automatics, as i am a eg guy myself.

Maybe the torque converter is binding. Did you put the torque converter on the tranny first? Then the tranny along with torque converter to the motor. If you dod not do this the pump will fail.
