Default no fire from distributor.

My transmission went out in my car so i switched out in the snow.(didn't have no choice haven't got a garage. so i got it in and test drove it and i guess when the snow melted it go in my distibutor or electrical system and the car died. thought i could let it dry out but that didnt work. So i checked to see if it was getting any fire and it wasn't. So i take the distributor cap off and test the ignition module and the coil they tested fine but it still won't start. So i take the module out and there is oil in my distrubutor. So i was wandering how oil got in the distributor. And what are the reasons that the distrubor wouldn't fire. any other reason besides for a bad distibutor. I changed the ignition coil and that didn't help. but not the ignition module? HELP ME! PLEASE!
