Default Nitrous question.

Has anyone had bad experince with a dry 35-50 shot on a stock internal ITR?

Since I'm going back to a quieter exhaust and losing a few hp.. want a small SAFE shot just for when we need the extra hp

think 35-50shot, retard the timing n tune would be safe enough for a daily driver?

Im not sure on the itr but i sprayed about 7-10 bottles worth of nitrous through my ls within a 3 month period, and my motor stood up to the challenge. this motor had about 150,xxx miles and never had anything done to it. I didnt blow it up, it didnt start knocking, or even smoking. I ran the zex kit, 75 hp shot, and even had the timing slightly advanced. I ran regular ngk's but did put 93 octane gas and usually and additive when I planned on spraying. when i first put the bottle on I ran the timing reatarded like it says to do but was slow so I put it normal and adavanced it with the dizzy. I am now going to put it on my GSR, well b16 block and GSR head, to see what happened. I loved it when I sprayed, it was fun as hell. The first kit i had went on a trade for a turbo kit, and within a couple of days of having boost I ordered another nitrous kit. I really missed the nitrous that much.

Yes if you take the proper procedures..

Spark plugs, timing, tune.. yes it should be fine..

I wouldn't spray all the time though.. maybe track use only.. Depending how fast you want to wear the engine

I have a zex dry kit on my b18c5 running a 75shot and it runs good with no
problems after 4 bottles, just retard the timing 2deg for every 50horse and
run good gas. Have fun

i've run over 100 hp shot on stock internal LS / GSR / B16/ and H22 with no problems.. also run 75+ on single cams also with no problems.. make sure to get it tuned before running any bottle!!!
