Purge the line out whenever you leave your car for over 30minutes or so. Thats what I do.

You can leave the bottle open it doesn't effect anything but you might have some tiny leaks that you can't hear so I would shut my bottle of if I wasn't planing on using it.

"poor man's purge"- i heard that u can unhook the line from the solenoid and open the bottle every so slightly then quickly shut it back to clear the lines. just hearsay

With the ZEX kit, we just put the car in the 2 position with the car off, NOT RUNNING. Flick the ZEX kit on and hit the gas pedal all the way. That should activate the nitrous solenoid to come on. That should help get the nitrous set and ready to go. I would not recommend starting the engine right after doing that. I would allow a few minutes to let it dissipate.

I turn the bottle off whenever I park for extended periods of time or overnight. As long as your lines are all sealed tight you're okay.

I would definitely recommend a purge valve.

i have heard that having the bottle on for extended periods of time is bad for your solenoid seals. i would also not recommend feeding nitrous into an engine while it is not running. i have seen the results and there not pretty. i would say get a purge kit, or remove the line from your bottle allowing the excess nitrous to comeout.

i was just thinking about taking the line of the solenoid and opening the bottle slightly then quickly closing it to get the excess nitrous out of the lines........im not going to use the nitrous unless i am at the track.........anyways there is a certified NOS vendor at our track so it is convenient to get the bottle filled there and then hit the track.
