Default Newbie exhaust question

The current engine in my car is a d15b7, in the future I plan to upgrade to a b-series motor. While I am building this motor I was hoping to get a little bit of extra performance out of my little d-series (with parts that I can reuse when I swap the engine) ... my question is; if I buy a cat back exhaust system for my car now will I still be able to use it when I do the engine swap? I've been researching this but I haven't found any answers yet ... maybe because it's something that should be obvious ... not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can reuse the exhaust after a swap. Buy the exhaust that fits your chassis.
