Default newbi question

when i install i have to remove the water hose and this other hose, what is a good way to get the hose lose? i've tried pulling on it but it won't come off. so i used a wrench to twist it, but at the same time i'm damnanging the hose, so i wanted to know how you guys remove these hoses for the car.

wrap it in a cloth and try griping it with pliers and gently twist whilst pulling on a slight angle...

when replacing the hose(s), spray silicon spray in the end so you can remove it next time. (thanks to Carrol Smith)

tinkerbel is right but try screwdriver also on the hose.

and use worm screw type clamps!!!
