Default New version of VTEC.......

A buddy of mine told me that Honda is supposed to be coming out with a new form of VTEC, he said "VRTEC". According to what he said it can replace the VTEC and give you a lot of hp, he said something about it being mentioned in SCC Mag. I don't know if it's true or not, has anyone else heard anything about it? Thanks

Your buddy probably has some beach front property for you in Arizona.

The 2002 Civic Si has what Honda is calling the "i-VTEC". On top of the regular VTEC system we all know and love, it also has a computer controled cam gear on the intake cam. It adjusts the timing of the intake cam for best performance or fuel economy depending on conditions. It's a pretty slick setup.
