Default New Engine Seizure

Okay so I just spent like 2 ginos on gettin my GSR rebuilt

I got the whole 9

head done
new crank rods pistons sleeves bore .5 over

the guy at the machine shop ran it on a machine that runs oil through it and turns the crank I dont know how familiar everyone is with that but yeah so the engine is turning without problem

SO I put the engine back in my car and behold I get deployed out to the Gulf which is were I am righ tnow I had the owner of the shop were I was putting my engine back to gether finish up the job wiring sensors.

I get a email saying that my engine is seized

QUOTE:The Chief is telling me it looks like the piston rod bearings aren't in sync with the cylinder wells and crankshaft. He advises a rebuild.

DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE TO YOU TO ME IT DOESN"T
How do you rebuild a engine that just got rebuilt I think he is bullshiting me.
The engine hasn't even had its first start up. I put oil in it before I left and maybe the only timed it was tunred was when I was torqueing down the flywheel but not even a full revoltion or even inch.

Can someone clarify this because the sand jet blast and Iraqi's are driving me nuts along with this car problem.

I only got 3 more months left out here and then Ill be HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big PROPS to you for serving your country!! It sucks that you protect a country to where people dont stand behind their work and word. Unless you really did something horrible to the engine. I dont see how your engine would have seized up right after a rebuild. Sounds like either they are trying to get money out of ya or they didnt do a good job to begin with. Either way, they should honor their work. Well, good luck. Have faith that the legal system will side with you when you get back. Keep up the good work over there!!

Last time I checked we weren't defending anything by being in another country. Oh, yea, the twin towers attack... I wonder why the gov't couldn't prevent 4 planes from landing in the wrong places...

I guess it makes sense to screw up your neighbors house so he doesn't screw up yours.... Also kinda makes sense since the military is everywhere except at home...

He is feeding you full of BS, by chance, did you tell him you were in the military? Some people take advantage of that because they know you have money. Makes me wonder if they threw it in a car and took it for a joyride....

I dont believe we should be there either but, I do support the men that do join the military and do their job!! Gotta remember, if we don't have anybody to protect our way of living, our rights, our freedom, we wouldnt be who we are now. I personally believe that if people can not agree with that, they need to find another country to live in.

*** sorry if that got a slight bit off topic.

So the shop owner said he is going to check out the cams and see if they are aligned properly then check the wallls for any scoring.
other than that i cant do nothing bu tsit and wait.

The whole war thing I think we are doing a good thing those people in Iraq love us. As well as others in the middle east.

Another thing the dont belive anything you hear on the news they are so full of it, it pisses me off that people base there views about our commander in chief and country on what the press has to say about it.

so the guy that did the machine work also put it together.well it seems like to me
that he needs to fined out why it will not start.hell it could be something as simple as a starter locked up to a dead battery, just making the motor click.as bright as this guy is surely he would have figured this out,but then again i am not to sure.it is people like this that make it hard for the rest of us that do know what were're doing.

well if you need help just pm me and i will be glad to do all i can for you to get you up and running .stay safe over there although i do not under stand why we are over.because we have problems of our own over here that we need help fixing and kids we cain't even feed..i am not gonna get started on this subject.
