Default new clutch break in

I have a brand new clutchnet stage 2 with the extreme pressure plate and a 7.5lbs clutchmasters flywheel in for about 50 street driven miles. Just after I had merged onto the freeway I smell clutch pretty strong. Still there getting off, and then it starts to go away. I am trying my best to shift gently and no high rpms, light throttle and all of it. Could I be doing something wrong breaking in my new parts?

Sounds like the clutch was not adjusted correctly. The smell is you clutch burning. Adjust as soon as possible or replace burned clutch and pressure plate in about 30 days.

really, what is there to adjust? if the disk is not in straight the drive shaft coming out of the tranny would not even go through...right? I drove the long slow way home and no strange smells. Dunno?

i have a act stage 2 in my car and the first one i had did the exact same thing and when i got ahold of act they had me pull it back out and send it in and come to find out it was warped when they sold it to me, and they replaced it for me for free but.. when i was having the problem i could tell there was a problem because the tranny would pulse.. but that just my 2 cents

it did have a slight chatter down low. It felt fine in regular rpms.
