Default New Built LS/vtec wont start

i finally finished my ls/vtec in my crx. i can go in to the specs of it later if it will help. i finally go to start it and it wont start. it sounds like a healthy motor but it just wont fully kick over. I checked and it has spark. it has compression. i know its gettting fuel to the rail. the plugs are brand new and gapped correctly. I have been charging the battery for a long time...not to mention the battery is new. I have a phearable.net ecu and thought it might be the prob so i tried a different chipped p28 and it does the same thing.... any ideas???? Thanks for any help you could provide

Make sure your ground wires are hooked up.

AHHH it was a ground wire i forgot to hook up. glad to see it was something simple...anyways i got it to run and went for a ride but it keeps cutting out at around 2200-3500 rpm...i will press the gas pedal and it just wont do anything for a few seconds then it finally starts going. the guy that does most of the motor work for me thinks that it has something to do with the intake air temp sensor or sumthing because i converted to obd1 but my intake manifold does have the spot on the #1 runner for it....does this even sound like a remote possibility or is he crazy. right now the plug is jsut hanging there not plugged into anything.... he thought i need to mount it somewhere and recommened the intake jsut before the TB. let me know what u guys think... im not to sure if he is right or not??
