Default NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE

Well as the title says dont do it.Unfortunatly i found out the hard way.I have just gotten out of hospital a few days ago after being unconsious for 2 days, with 4 broken ribs,a punctured lung and an arm broken in 2 places.
Got a taxi home from a party bout 4am on the saturday night and instead of going into my house i decided to get into my car and go for a spin(was very drunk).I cant remeber much but my sisters boyfriend woke up to me doing burnouts outside the house.
I live on a main road with houses on either side that is about 1/2 mile long with an intersection at the end onto a dual carrigeway(highway for those in the U.S).
Anyay i tried to take a left hand L bend at over 100mph,lost control, hit the kerb on the far side, flipped the car over the central divider and put it through a wall on the opposite side of the carrige way.
As you can guess the car was destroyed. The roof was torn off and the engine was about a meter away from the car.
The police visited me in hospital and said i was very very lucky to be alive, aswell as the nurses, family etc.
Now i have been summonsed to court where i am most likly going to loose my license for a long time, not that thats a bad thing.
SO WHATEVER YOU DO.DONT BE A FUKIN IDIOT AND DRINK AND DRIVE.
Before anyone starts going on that this is in the wrong forum *** u cause i want everyone to read this and hopefully it will prevent someone from doing the same.

Drunk usually equals stupid. But you never know, someone may give it a thought. Be glad you didn't hurt anybody else.

This could have been your fault, sorry to be so harsh but I think that all drunk drivers do is cause pain to other people.

It's a good thing that you didn't kill anyone and you aren't dead. Learn from your mistakes

You really fell I got carried away at the end, huh?Sorry but I've lost a friend to a drunk driver. She was fixing her car on the shoulder when a drunk went out of their lane and hit her from behind slamming the hood down on her head killing her instantly,I hope. The cowards ran but were later caught. At least justice was done,I guess.

I ws being forgiving in my mind towards you,I didn't want to kill or lock you up for your completely unforgivable act, just keep you from breeding.

Wow, good Job Ed's, you moron. I'm sure someone who just got out of the hospital cares about your opinion .

There are people drunk driving all day everyday. It's a fact of life. Nothing is ever going to put an end to drunk driving. Is it unfair? Yes, but you have to learn to accept it.

People die, that's life. You can't hold grudges.

My friend died last month from alcohol poisoning. Sure it was self induced, but I've accepted it.

There's no point in dwelling on someone's death.

I guess if we all just took your mentality, then theres really no hope for anything huh. I wonder if youll feel like this when your son/daughter/mother/father dies. "oh well, no use on dwelling on it... la dee da"

I hope no one gives a expletive if some drunk swerves off the road and takes you out.

I guess that would depend on your religious faith.

(just be more carefull next time bro...life is precious man) Two things, the first being don't be careful next time, just don't do it again. The second being that life is very precious, and you have alot of cool **** to do before you die.

There's no point in dwelling on someone's death.</TD></TR></TABLE>I've lost many friends over the years.3 were killed by trains-1 suicide and 2 stupidity like this guy from Ireland, and 2 that died in car accidents. Not to mention the various family members that have also passed over time. It's different when someone causes their own death/is a true accident and when someone takes their life.Don't confuse the two.

Driving drunk is like handing someone a gun on a street corner, blindfolding him, spinning him around till he's disoriented and having him take a shot randomly when you stop spinning him.Chances are he's not going to hit anyone but that doesn't make what happened ok because nobody was hurt.

Yeah you never know. I got into a Integra with a guy that said he was fine. We hit a tree at about 80 mph then rolled twice. I woke up three days later with three teeth missing, could not see out of my left eye.. and tape holding my face in place.

I still am partialy blind in my left eye. I now will always have nerve damage on the left side of my face. And am still missing one tooth.

And even better... no insurance.

So yeah you never know... I have to walk around like this everyday. I hate the way I look, and I cannot stand public places anymore.

Had I known the guy was even drinking I would not have even gotten in the car
