Default Neuspeed/Koni vs. Regular Koni Shocks...

Through research, I've found out that there are at least 2 types of Koni Yellow shocks. The regular ones with a stock shock body, and 2 or 3 perch adjustments. Then there are the Neuspeed/Koni shocks. They have a 20mm shorter shock body, and more adjustability in the perches. Can people confrim this? I like the idea of the Neuspeed/Konis. Does anyone else make these? Comptech? Any info here would be great!!! Thanx.

Neuspeed is the only place that sells modified Koni shocks to the general public, as far as I know. I think they have some kind of agreement between the two companies. It does have a 20mm shorter shock body, and I believe all 4 shocks (front and rear) for Civics and Integras have 5 slots, instead of 2 in front and 3 in back.

Truechoice can do all sorts of wonderfull modifications to Koni shocks from simple revalving to different housings to shorter rods, etc. They also sell kits with shocks and matching springs with adj height or the snap ring setup mentioned above.

Ah but I bet it costs WAY more than Neuspeed Konis (around $550 shipped from Neuspeed ).

Yes, Truechoice custom valved shocks are more expensive since they're essentially rebuilt new shocks. I'm sending my almost 5 year old Konis to them soon to have them custom valved to match my spring rate... too bad there's a 3 week turnaround period right now...

well hopefully you still have your stock shocks laying around, so you can swap them out and ride on them for a couple weeks until you get the Konis back.... that's what I would do, which is why I do not plan on getting rid of my stock shocks.
