Need Some Help! Regarding Oil In Throttle Body!
****, I just took off the tube connecting to my throttle body and i found out there's a SHITLOAD of BLACK oil in there. (pretty old) I have a feeling the mani's clogged and that's why im running soo damn rich. (not much air going in). HOW CAN I GET THIS **** OUT?!

ALSO, anyone got any ideas as to why this happened?!!!!

i need some answers cuz i need to get this done tomorrow for the meet.

 

Vast amounts of throttlebody cleaner might help.

To clean mine I removed the IM.

the air tube running from the valvecover to the intake arm or intake manifold actually carries air laden with oil vapor, so the oil can be burned off in the cylinders instead of being allowed to pass freely into the air (our environment).

so yah its normal to a point... this is why people use Crankcase/Valvecover Breather Filters and also CatchCans (Moroso, SRR, Cusco, Endyn) to filter out the oil in the air before the air travels into the intake mani...

Check hose from PCV valve. It may be spittin oil back to the intake.

Also,,,,,, if you take off your intake you are going to need a few gaskets and o-rings and seals and stuff like that. I am not sure you want to do this if you need the car tomorrow.
