need some help with a bad clutch
A friend of mine just had her clutch go out on her recently and her dad called me up to see if i knew what was wrong with it. All i know is what they told me and that is, that the clutch pretty much stopped working (this is a 91 Accord). I guess the pedal works properly but the car grinds all its gears. I'm not exactly sure how a hydrolic clutch works. I know in a cable clutch, you can tell the clutch is bad by 'pedal feel'. Does it work the same way with the hydrolic set-up? i've heard people that had a clutch go bad, say that the pedal stays pushed in.
I'm sure there's people on here that have had the same problem or similar problems before. Any help would be appreciated.

when the clutch goes bad it doesnt engage. well it does, but you have to put a lot of gas into it to get it moving. sounds to me like the syncros in her tranny are messed up. if the pedal stays in, that could mean that the cylinders have problems.
its impossible for all gears to have the syncros go bad simultanesouly.
(if all the gears grind)
if thats the case, pull the transmission and inspect the clutch.
