Engine has been sitting for awhile now and just dropped it into my 1988 CRX HF and wont start just turns...all connections seem correct, firing order is correct, timing isnt that off checked everything...its getting fire and fuel but nothing...people tel me check main relay, or module......but i might switch out my dizzy....can someone help me

 

have you checked for crap in the cap. the build up on the dist cap posts. moisture makes it worse .it flakes off if you scrap the posts with a pointy stake knife. fire will get across it but sometimes not enough to start the car. I hope its that simple.

 

hey thanks for the tip......just last night made sure if the engine was getting fire but friend saw that there wasnt any fire at all at the spark plugs or at the cap...and hopefully for sure its the coil gone bad....but yeah there is alot of flakes on the inside of the cap.....and some rust on the pointer that goes into the coil.....peace
