Default Need some engine clean !

I would like to know for Drag racing what I need to keep because there are too many hoses and wiring here!!

- Power steering? Do I need to buy another one but without OEM Power steering
- Do I still need water in the idle vaccum?
- I'm going to change the OEM and Fuel lines too
- Heating

Can I remove the black box (OEM Catch oil take)?

Thank you for your advices!

If all your doing is racing than take out anything that doesn't have to do with transfering energy into motion. Have fun

if you remove the OE "breather box" you'll want to replace it with some aftermarket catch can set up or something. it needs to breathe.

you can loop your current P/S rack to convert it to manual. the high and low pressure lines (to the reserviour and from the pump) get plugged and the lines from the pinion housing to the rack cylinder get "looped" together with a T fitting in the middle for a refill reserviour and breather (try using an old clutch MC reserviour from the scrapper.) some racks will need the valving removed when plugging the high/low lines.

the only coolant lines you need are the upper and lower radiator hoses. you can loop the heater hoses, keep the "U-shaped" hose and loop the small bypass hoses to easily close off the system.
