Get everything balanced and inquire about chamfering the oil holes on the crank.

What piston r u gonna use (CR) ? That's a good starting point w/ the GSR block/LS crank.

My suggestions would be:

Keep the GSR crank
Go with Endyn RollerWave pistons (he has that compression you want in 85mm)
Eagle rods

I just built a B20/VTEC, so I'm pretty familar with all this good stuff.

could you give me some reasoning why i should keep the GSR crank in there instead of the LS? ... what are the specs of your B20VTEC and any dyno readouts?

Another reason to keep the GSR crank is the rod/stroke ratio. The better R/S ratio of the GSR takes more kindly to high rpm's, important when building an N/A motor.

I agree, keep the GSR crank. You'll be much happier with the revs (not to mention life) that the shorter stroke will give you. This is why I'm building my new LS with a B16 crank and rods. The last race engine didnt like holding together at 9900 consistantly.

Well first, send me the sleeves. I gotta "test" them out for you...

Seriously though I'd use the GSR crank and go with the Endyn rollerwaves as someone suggested. They're very well designed and you should be able to get away with more compression than you otherwise would. Sounds good to me, let us know how all this comes out.
