Need a new ecu what would you do?
My ecu is faulty so i need to put a new one in what should i do? Do i buy a chipped one or regular one? I have a 98 ex. I have an i/h/e and i play on running a zex system soon and later some better cams.
Are you using your 98 ECU? Chipping those is kind of costly, and really isn't done a hell of a lot, and you can get OBD2 ECUs pretty easily because of the number of people doing OBD2 to OBD1 swaps. I would just get a replacement for what you have now, unless you are planning on doing ECU tuning in the future..

I agree, don't waste your money, just get a replacement from a junkyard. DON'T buy a new one, they are way overpriced. Remember to get a 96-98 EX ECU and not the 99-00 because the plugs won't match. The 96-97 Del Sol Si P28 should work too.
Don't bother with a VAFC or piggy back fuel controller either, all you need is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if anything at all..
