Default need ls help with srp pistons


i have a b18a1 block with srp pistons i just tore the motor down and everything looked great the only question i have is there is a noticable gab between the piston and wall as far as i know the block was never bored out is this normal ??? the pistons due move in the sleeve should i be worried>>>motor never smoked ran great on boost any input would be great thanks

put up a picture. there is always a noticable gap at the top
the pistons are actually tapered. they are larger at the bottom than they are at the top.
thats why the piston to wall clearance is supposed to be measured at a certain distance (cant remember what) from the bottom of the piston.

in a nutshell....check your piston to wall clearance. if its in spec; you're good

you need to go by the piston manufacturers specs...not honda specs
this information should have come with the pistons; if not just give srp a call. im sure they will tell you
