Since all alarms can be bypassed,
would it be better to get an average viper or compustar alarm for a 100 or 200 dollars or get the top of the line 791 or 3.5 pager system for like 4-6 hundred. I'll have layering like the backup siren, kill switch, the club and autolock. but still curious if its worth it to pay that much for the big alarm systems.

What would be the difference in getting these alarms as long as its from DEI.

Your right all alarms can be bypassed, Id say get the one with a pager since at least you're more likly to hear your alarm go off. It doesnt take that long to disable sirens and the pager MIGHT be a little more help.

No matter how shitty I think LoJac is I wished I had one when my car was stolen.

just install a hidden kill switch to your fuel pump. alarms are just a deterant for the amature theives. if theives just want whats inside then they will break in whether you have an alarm or not. alarms don't scare pros and if by standers in broad day light heard an alarm going off and suspicious activity around it chances are they won't do nothing and walk in the other direction. if the theives are trying to get the whole car then a kill switch would make it difficult. they could sit there and troubleshoot what you did but time is a factor cause the longer they try to figure it out increases the chances of getting caught. once they figure out they can't start it they will walk away and all you get is damage from the break in an most likely most of your interior things are still intact because they had no time to get it. this not always the case though. if your car is parked in a secluded place then it's most likely your stereo and **** will get jacked because since they couldn't get the car they had to at least get whats inside.
