Need Info Block Rebuild D16z
Succesfully fried my rings after a nice head swap(to be expected) I need info from anyone with hands on experience.
My goal in mind: Rebuild the z6 block on a tight budget, it is a daily driver and not looking for a huge power gain or a b swap(so dont tell me to b swap) maybe one step up from factory.
For a basic rebuild I would need Rings and all bearings(obviously gaskets)
What kind of piston and rods would be best on a budget(factory or aftermarket)? can i re-use them?
Thanks for feedback ahead of time, I hope my typed words make sense
Also found this website with rebuild kits: http://rpmmachine.com/engine-rebuild-kits-honda.shtml it sounds too good to be true, anyone ever use these or heard of them?
...And, places ask for rod bearing, main bearing, and bore size, can anyone tell me what they are asking?

I did a rebuild on my z6. Stock crank, stock rods, stock rings, A6 pistons for a lil higher compression. Now depending on your budget you can go aftermarket but it up to you. I chose oem from a differnt motor, i played with zeal works compression tester to see what numbers i would get. Didnt want to go too high and end up needing a dyno tune.
You can reuse rods as long as all of them are same color. Dont use any that are black! I dont advise reusing pistons, if your replacing rings you might as well replace that too. Make sure you get new main seal and oil pump seal and make sure your torque wrench is claibrated. Your website looks legit but to reasure your self google some reviews of the products they sell.
When they are asking for rod, main, and bore size just say STD or standard. You have no need to bore unless a machine shop advises you to.
