just wondering what purpose these serve in a h22. i'm missing these in my motor after a rebuild and now my vtec is not working. h23's dont have them but h22's do

they go above the crank (2 plates in the middle)

 

oil scrapers, and they won't cause vtec to not work.

 

isnt it supposed to guide the oil back into the pan... would enough go back without these... cuz i think i dont have enough pressure to kick the pins over.

 

its a windage tray its supp too keep oil from hitting the crank shaft.

i think the windage tray is all one piece... unless there's multiple pieces.

maybe im wrong.... anyone???

I already answered the question. There are called oil scrapers, the windage tray is a larger piece aprox. 6"x10".
