Default Need help with vtec problem and speedometer?

I have a 94 civic hatchback with a B18C(OBD1) engine. Before, everything was working, until one day my odometer doesnt work and i can't hear my vtec kicking in? Anyone know the problem is, is it my ECU or something else. Please Help!

check your VSS sensor which is on the backtop side of your tranny. most times water splashes there and oxidizes the pins making them rusty or just loose contact which will make your speedo not function and with no speedo vtec will not work. you will probably have a check engine light for it. otherwise might be a faulty VSS.
