I just bought a disassembled GSR head. I'm trying to get everything together, clean it, and get it ready to assemble it while the head is getting cleaned up. I noticed that theres 16 outer springs and 16 inner springs. Some outer are blue and some inner are green. The rest are too worn to tell. I was just wondering which are intake, which are exhaust, and if these were even OEM GSR springs, cuz I believe GSR only has dual intake springs right? Does color even matter whether I install them intake or exhaust side? OEM GSR cams will be used, nothing bigger.

 

try to find a factory service manual to download or borrow, they eliminate any guess work

 

I have a downloaded version of the Helms, but it doesnt have the color code info. I guess calling the dealer would help, I dont know why I didnt think of it before.

Also, I noticed a light purple/pinkish color on the other outer springs.

 

not too familiar with b motors, just h/f setups...oem manuals for the win, helms and anything else is a waste of money...
