my tranny grinds everytime i try to put it into 3rd gear when i rev past 3000...dont know what is wrong with it...under 3000rpm it goes into place fine...wondering if i should but a new tranny, rebuild it, or just buy type r internals and have them installed...need help fast...been messed up for way to long

if you're good with technical skills, and have a good base of tools, you can rebuild it by going to the dealer and buying a new 3rd gearset. I think most b-series gears go for around 200-300 depending on gear and year/model. But yeah 3rd gear synchros are pretty much shot it sounds like.
