hey.
i need help with this. ive never done it before and i need some help with it.
if u know how to take the head off and u kno what to do and u can break it down to me in a step by step instructions.. i took the valve cover off and the cam shaft guides i think theyre called. the things that go along top of the 2 cams. what else do i have to take off to get to the head bolts so i can take the head off. do i have to take the cams out. can u tell me how to take the cams out.?
BTW my motor is a 96 ls block with a 98 ITR head.
If u could tell me everything i need to do to take the head. including what other parts i have to take off and everything like that, thatr needs to be removed so i will be able to get the head off.

You dont HAVE to reply to this post, so if your post isnt going to help me out with what im trying to do, dont even waste ur time posting. dont tell me to get a mechanic or anything just give me some steps if u can.

I BOUGHT A HELMS BOOK (ITS MY LITTLE BIBLE) IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING YOUR MOTOR APART IT'S BEST TO JUST BUY THE BOOK! THE BOOK WILL SAVE YOU TIME, PEOPLE GIVING YOU SMART *** ANSWERS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR MOTOR. PEOPLE MIGHT GIVE YOU WRONG INFO, HELL I MIGHT HAVE EVEN FORGOT SOMETHING IN MY STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS... BUT THE BOOK WON'T. LIKE LOOK IT UP, helmic.com, AND BUY IT!
