Yesterday i noticed that my 1997 honda civic coupe was shifting weird. I drive an automatic and it seems to shift hard. If the engine has a big thump when it goes in to another gear. I can notice it most when i shift for neutral to drive. I can feel a big thump that i never felt before. Like the whole engine is shifting. I checked the tranny fluid it's fine. Please help.

i don't see any cracks or anything. but when i do shift from neutral to drive i see the whole engine shift. I don't how to tell. Is there any way test if the bushings in the motor mounts are still good?

 

could it be anything thing else besides the motor mounts?

 

low on tranny fluid. check your level.
