A pitman arm puller will work without damaging the balljoint grease boot. If the boot is already screwed then use a balljt separator. One thing I do is put antiseize on the balljt shaft that fits into the LCA. I can literally lift up on the spindle and remove the balljt from the LCA. HTH

I asked my friend that's a mechanic, he says that if there is a really stubron balljoint. He just uses a 48oz hammer. He said to give a good wack. It will come off. I tried it and it worked. I hope this helps.

hit it where exactly, we tried hitting the end of the LCA, tried for like 20 mins w/nothing, also tried a clamp between the botton of the bolt and the top of the ball joint, similar to how the haynes manual describes...still nothing.

prybar and 2 bigass hammers to knock it loose. One hammer on one side of the balljoint and then hit it on the opposite side

um yeah, DONT do that. you dont wanna rip that boot

leave your shock attatched so it is pushing down on the lca and hit the ball joint itself, not the lca.....it should pop out, does for me
