Default NEED HELP QUICK : Alternator Power wire Question - Engine harness ..

Its been about a year since touching my honda.. I jsut got around to putting my built motor back in the car and wiring everything up and I was wondering if the 10 gauge alternator wire is supposed to be hooked up to the fuse box next to the battery.

I hooked it up on the alternator side, but did not see one on the battery terminal side of the engine harness. It was kinda funny, but the fuse panel has 2 spots to hook up + cables, but I only had 1 wire available to hook up to the junction. Is it just me, or is this 2nd wire terminal hiding and dangling somewhere in the engine bay and not charging my battery..

BTW, i'm on my 2nd battery and its on its way out It seems I've been running on battery power for the past 2 days.. I just barely made it to work this morning and I"m working in the ghetto today. HOpefully I can get the car started and drive it home..

Default

battery has two lines from/to it. one to fuse box other to starter

fuse box has two lines from/to it. one to alternator other to battery

alternator has one line from it. to fuse box.

the reason for two connections to the fuse box is the presence of the ELD. this tells the ECU how much power the car is using and the ECU compensates.

**edit**
the inner connection on the fuse box runs to the battery
the outer connection runs to the alternator

thanks for the input..

but i found out the culprit after work.. turned out i forgot to tighten the nut at the alternator that holds down the 10 gauge power wire.. by the time i noticed it, it was corroded from all the sparking etc..

problem solved.. but at the cost of a good battery.
