need help now !!! b20vtec build
i am curious about the timing belt and water pump and oil pump..i want to use the stock b20 pumps for now till i build bottom end and bring up revs...anyways.. i bought a b20 belt for it.. should i of got a LS belt ? arent they the same..someone help please.. putting together and need help asap..please let me know whats up guys.. i just dont want to pull belt out of package and not be able to take back.. thanks

I heard that the b20 oil pump is the same as b-series vtec oil pump. I dont know if its true. If it is there is no need for a new oil pump, and the belt is the same. I would make sure and get a vtec oil pump on there otherwise. There is no reason to risk your engine for your impatience.

If you use the LS/B20 water pump you need the LS belt. Timing belt will depend on the water pump you choose, for vtec water pump, use GSR timing belt, B16A is too short. B20 oil pump is the same as the B18C1/C5.
