need help with my 05' civic
whats up everyone, so ive been on a little mission that i cant figure out whats going on with my car, so long story short, their's oil going into my throttlebody, i changed the PCV valve and its still doing the same thing, and from time to time the car will shut off on me...need some help with anyone that's had this issue b4 or knows whats the issue and how to fix it..thanks
Oil gets into the throttle from the valve cover breather. Excess oil in the intake is caused by compression leakage, which forces more oily air into the throttle. Ensure the PCV valve is of the correct size, and that the hoses are not blocked up with debris (oil wax).
If all else checks, perform a compression test. Just a reminder, some oil in the throttle is inevitable, its a question of quantity.
