Bought a crx about 2 months ago. Car when bought had to be jumped before I could take it home. I then had the car running for 1 day before it drained again. My friend then lent me his battery which lasted 1 week before it died. I brought the battery to have it checked and 1 of the cells was dead. I then called the preveious owner and he told me that he had changed the alternator about 2 weeks before he sold it to me. I then decided to buy a brand new battery. This battery lated me 3 weeks. I then returned the battery and got another one. This battery then lasted 2 days before it died. I then decided to find out what was going on myself. I noticed that the right fender had been in an accident that is why the right corner light is not working. I then noticed clicking coming right under the driver dash. I then noticed a relay that was connected to an alarm system. I disconnected the relay and also the alarm from under.
I still get this metal to metal scratch every once in a while when I drive. it gets super LOUD then disapears. Then comes back every once in awhile. for now I have been dis connecting my battery when I get home and so forth till monday to bring it in to a shop. If you have any ideas To what you think it may be...your suggestion could help...thanks.

 

sounds like a alternator problem, since your batteries arent recharging.

 

Yea im gonna bring it in on monday(appoinment). I hope its not a drain or short somewhere....those are the worst nightmares.

 

any other suspicions? help
