Need help FAST
I just put my motor in and my exhaust is hitting the shifter. Now thats not a big problem, but the knock sensor is throwing a code. Could this be a result of the exhaust hitting the shifter. My vtec is not kicking on either. Is that the sensor stopping it. Thanks for any advice.
why would that be related to the knock sensor? maybe check the wiring harness for the knock sensor, if it got wet or anything when washing the block it oculd have got messed up.

an ecu when it picks up knock, it will automatically retard the timing, and vtec will not engage.
get a scanner and check to see if its picking up knock, sometimes you can't hear a knock but it is there.
