Default need help with exhaust HIGH FLOW CAT CONVERTER vs. TEST PIPE

Not sure if im posting this in the right section, but I need some help with exhaust issues, I just swapped in a 97 Spec ITR into my eg, and now i'm working on the exhaust. For now I'm going to get a 2.5" manderal bent b-pipe with a magnaflow resonator. The question I have is, what is the better route for me to go? a high flow cat? or a test pipe? I've been looking into the 2.5" t1r test pipe, and the 2.5" omni power test pipe. I am a total newb when it comes to stuff like this, So if someone can point me towards the right direction it would be greatly appriciated sorry for this dumb question

if you want your car to be street legal go with the hi flow cat. Still your secondary O2 sensor might register it as working inefficiently and give you a cel. Then you will have to use an O2 simulator to fix this problem, same as with a test pipe. Do you live in a state where they do emission testing, like CA or NJ, if so then neither will probably pass.

there was something bout whether to go with a test pipe or a high flow cat that i read in a mag a long time ago...

turned out that if you went with a test pipe you got a WHOPPING +1 hp difference over if you went with a high flow cat..

if you live in a place that does emissions, and a 1 hp difference doest matter to you, then go with the high flow cat...

Test pipes do gain more than 1 whp over standard cats, but with the high flow cat, it can be around that. some high flow cats might not pass smog, but some do, all depends on the state of the cat and how the motor is tuned. if your using a 97 JDM spec ITR motor and corresponding ECU, then you'll only need 1 o2 before the cat.
