My situation is this.
i have a 92 dx hatch with 8000kms on a rebuilt 98 B18c1 with complete P73(itr) valve train and botom end.

now unfortunately i'm using an OBD2 GSR ecu which sucks ***, i feel and have been told that i am being robbed serious numbers on my higher compression stronger motor...so...

which one of the following would be best to do as far as ECU changes.

1. have the car re-wired OBD1 ($200) and get an OBD1 GSR ecu ($400), not change the manifold (keep torque ) then have the ecu chipped to a program to allow my motor put out its higher potential that a stock GSR?($price don't know) total around ($600-$800)

2. have the car re-wired ($200) OBD1 and get a sohc vtec ecu like the 92-95 ecu (free) get a chipped program ($unknown) and get a skunk2 intake manifold ($400-600) as needed for the program. total around ($800-$1000)

3. leave the wiring OBD2 and get a 1997 ITR ecu which will plug right in ($400-500), and get the Skunk 2 intake manifold as needed ($400-600) total around ($1100-1500)

i'm trying to make the best decision for obviously the least amount of money,...but if there is only one proper way then i'll have to do what it takes....

if anyone can back up any of these options or provide better ones that would be much appreciated.

BTW...how did you get the P73 in to the 5g civic? adaptor?

 

damn all of your prices are pretty high, the skunk2 intake manifold only goes for 310 at most places, and the p72 ecu for 250-300, i would go with the p72 chipped ecu, thats what i have on my b18c1 motor
