put the thermostat BACK in.

Check your ignition timing.

Get a bigger radiator (dual core)

Have you ever check if your fan is running? What type of radiator are you using? If you are using a stock civic radiator, It is small. On some cars, when you use the stock radiator when you are hybrid, you will tend to over heat. 1st thing I would do is to flush your radiator. If it sticll overheats, check if your fan is running, try tapping the fan for constant fan on at all times. CHeck your thermostat, it might be out....

Chk your radiator. It might be partially clogged.

basiclly if its not the block guard what you can check is the water pump/hoses for small holes/radiator cap/thermostat or put one in/and flush the radiator and try some water wetter.
