Need help car randomly bucks while driving
Alright so I have a major issue and need help. B16a2 in 98 civic ex, running jumper harness to the p30 ecu.
I noticed it only happens when i got my foot on the gas never when i left off the gas to slow down.
Ive Replaced the Engine Harness cause there was corrosion on the plugs going into the jumper harness, Replaced the Jumper Harness with a brand new one, Its a p30 Ecu which is the last part i havent replaced.
Now here's what happens ill be driving and the motor will randomly cut out and drop to idle then a second or 2 later it will go back to the correct Rpms/speed, and when it does this it bucks you so damn hard i didnt have my seat belt on one day and almost hit my head of the steering wheel...
I have my ECU laying on the floor in my car and before i shook the wire harness that connects to the jumper harness and ECU and it died. I wraped eletrical tape around the the jumper and engine harness where they plug into each other so they dont move but it didnt solve the issue so Idk, Just went to synapse used a new jumper harness didnt even make it out the parking lot and it bucked.
Sometimes I here a noise in the distributor it sounds like something is rattling, I took the cap off and didnt see anything. I'm thinking maybe something in the distributor could be the problem.
I'm going to try to find a known P30 ECU that's working and try that.
Can someone toss some idea's out on what to check please.

Can someone tell me if this could possible a distributor issue, because it only happens on acceleration and when I'm cruising at speed, never happens when my foots off the gas and the car is slowing down.
Could the rotor or coil in the distributor like lose spark or something? I noticed it never happended over 5000rpms either usually between 1500-4500rpms the motor cuts out to idle then goes right back to normal rpms for that speed.
Someone please chime in

Could it the VSS not getting a singnal?
I just read about a issue that was kinda like mine and the VSS had cordoded terminals and if he wiggled it would lose the signal

So i may have found the issue while wiggling plugs under the hood, My Engine harness plug that connects to the TPS sensor had a little play, So when I wiggled the where the plugs connects to the TPS it would drop the Rpms.
I noticed the Inner part of the plug has some play to it and the way its wired was super tight so when the motor moved I think it would tug on the plug to the TPS.
Its a HX harness converted for the EX
I took my old EX harness and pluged the TPS plug into the TPS and there was no movement.
I took a zip tie and zip tied the plug around the TPS so it wouldnt move and the issue isnt as bad.
Im not 100% sure if thats the issue
Does anyone know if a TPS loosing signal while driving would cause the motor cut out to idle then go right back to normal rpms?
